The win and the overall !

It's that time of year where we get to go racing again! The weather was bitter cold this weekend at the FMF Steele Creek GNCC in Morganton NC. There were even some snow flurries Friday night and into Saturday morning. This year I have decided to run 45+ A for points so I can hopefully add another Championship to my resume. The class is full of fast guys so I am going to have my hands full this with all the competition. They were a total of 415 riders on the start line at 10am. The 10 mile track featured up and down hills, creek and bridge crossings, grass and single track, river rocks, slick roots, and some choppy breaking bumps. I got off to a good start on my new Ride PG 350 Husqvarna and by the end of the first lap I had just over a 1 minute lead. For the remainder of the race I just keep a good pace and continued to expand my lead. My pit crew said I needed to charge on the last lap to make up some time in the overall. I put my head down on the last lap and posted my fasted time as well as a trip to the top step of the podium for the overall!! It was a close race with only 11 seconds that separated me and 2nd place overall. I ran the Vee Rubber VRM‐211 Tackee on front and a VRM‐300 Tackee on the Rear they are the heat for all terrain.

Thank you again to everyone for making it happen!!!
