Overall at Mountaineer Run!
This past weekend I packed up the motor-home and made the trip to Round 8 of the GNCC series in Masontown West Virginia. The track received a little rain in the morning before the start of my 2 hour race which made for some slick racing conditions. The rain continued off and on throughout the whole race and some of the ruts got fairly deep on the 10 mile track.
. I was able to get into the lead fairly early and maintained that pace throughout the race. On the last lap, my pit crew helped me find that little extra energy to close the 10 second gap that would give me that overall podium spot. By the conclusion of the lap and the race, I had gaped second place in the overall by 52 seconds!! The rocky terrain made navigating the course very difficult for some riders but I was able to put my motorcycle wherever I wanted to with the traction provided via my Vee Rubber Tackees.
Thank you again to everyone who has supported my racing efforts all these years. Thank you to all my new sponsors as well. Until next time, I have some cleaning to do!
